Happy Valentines Day!

Dad is home...and so we decided to go away for a little 4 day retreat. Chicot (pronounced Chico) State Park is about 1 hour north of Lafayette. It's a beautiful little park with wonderful cabins on the lake. I could just move in and never leave.
Most of them are built on pilings so all you see is water out the front windows. Beautiful at night with the full moon shinning in.

Sweetie Pie got her first fishing pole that lights up when you reel in your catch...or your moss as it was for her. The fish just were not biting. Saltwater fishing is the only way to fish! She can cast it pretty far though!

We went on a great 5 mile hike. This is part of the lake behind us. It's covered with lillys in this section. Looks pretty swampy with the Cyprus trees huh!

The hike was a lot of fun and the best part was that we got to go UP HILL AND DOWNHILL. Whohoo...

And at the end of our hike, we found this wonderful tree...for a Happy Valentines Day!

Sounds like you had fun. The tree trunk is really cool. Haven't seen you around for awhile. You must be keeping yourself busy.

That looks like fun. I wish we had outdoor weather here already. I'm done with the snow!

Those cabins are neat looking. I love that you found that tree in the shape of a heart on Valentine's day.

Marla...Yea, when the hubby is home from his ship...I'm just too busy doing family stuff! Thanks for stopping by!

Harmony, Well, yes we have outdoor weather now, but it will soon be INDOOR weather...as it will be TOO hot! We are never happy. :)

Nadine...Yes, the cabins are such a great deal. 90 bucks a night. Wasn't that tree cool? I keep praying for your hubby!

What a great time! Your kiddies are growing up so fast and they're adorable (as always!).

I'm glad you had a happy Valentine's Day. The pics are fantastic, especially that last one of the tree. It saw you coming! ;)
